About Me
John & the 55 - April 2004
John & a Great Pyrenees friend - Sep 2004
Global Hawk, Edwards AFB - 2003
My Family
I was recently married to the love of my life Karen, and this December she gave birth to my first child, a baby boy, Kenny Hopper.
Karen also has two children from her previous marriage, Chris and Kasey, that we have split custody of.
My Mopars
In addition to my '55 Dodge truck, I own a '51 Dodge Coronet, a 2006 Dodge Ram truck and a '99 Chrysler Concorde -- Mopar all the
way!  The long list of Mopars that I've owned in the past includes a '63 Dodge Dart Wagon, '70 Plymouth Road Runner (red), '73
Dodge Polara, '63 Plymouth Sport Fury, '70 Dodge Dart Swinger (440 4-speed 12.10s), '69 Dodge SuperBee, '70 Plymouth Road
Runner (black - bought three times from different people, kept coming back like Christine!), '85 Dodge Van, '91 Chrysler LeBaron, '95
Dodge Pickup 2500, '66 Dodge Monaco, '70 Plymouth Duster, '73 Dodge Dart Sport, and a '67 Chrysler Imperial.
My Friends
Carl - He owned a '67 Chrysler 300 that he shipped to Sweden and sold in June 2005.  He and his car have been extras on TV's "Cold
Case". Much of his blood, sweat and tears have also gone into my '55 over the years.
Joe - He owns a '67 Chevelle that he and his son, Chris, are currently putting a fuel-injected 454 big block and a 4-speed into.  I'm still
working on converting them to Mopar!
Ken - He owns a '66 Belvedere II convertible and a '72 Dodge Charger.  Ken knows everything about early Mopars you would ever
want to know, and swaps at Spring Fling and Fall Fling each year.
Robert - He Owns a '69 340 Fast Back Cuda, a '07 Chrysler Town and Country and a '99 Dodge Ram 2500 V-10. He has been
married for 20 years to his high school sweetheart Debby, and has teenage twin Daughters Stacy and Denise.
Chris -' Son of Joe and new empoylee at Blue Sky Dynamics. We have been friends for five years and I am lucky to have such a
dedicated worker at our shop.
My INTERESTS
Besides the obvious, Mopars, I enjoy building custom gas-powered remote control cars, vacuum tube audio amps, nixie tube clocks,
LabView data acquisition systems, and tinkering with FPGA (field programmable gate array) logic.  I also love going to car shows,
NHRA drag races, museums and Disneyland.  And I'm a big fan of roller coasters and science fiction.
My Jobs
I work full-time for Raytheon, an aerospace company in El Segundo, CA, where my main responsibility is the integration and test of
the SAR (synthetic aperture radar) for Global Hawk (High Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial Reconnaissance System).  The rest of
my time is spent at Blue Sky Dynamics, the new Mopar shop Robert and I opened in October 2006, where I am following my dream
and passion for building cars.

John- John and I have known each other for 3 years now. John brought his charger in for some small repairs. 3 years later that small
repair turned into the nicest modified car we have built.
